## Summary

Motonari Studio (2022 to 2024) built a hardware wallet aimed at a gap that
general-purpose cold storage does not cover: frequent, low-value signing that
happens during a game session, on a PC that is running mods, overlays and
anti-cheat drivers. Existing hardware wallets assume rare, deliberate,
high-value transfers and take tens of seconds to sign.

The device was a USB-C signer built around an STM32 microcontroller and a
dedicated secure element on a four-layer board. Private keys were generated
inside the secure element and never exported. Every signature required a
physical press on the device, and the amount and destination were displayed on
the device's own screen so a compromised host could not show one payment and
send another. The secure element's traces were routed on inner layers between
ground planes to make physical probing destructive.
